Our Approach
Oracle Jiu Jitsu is a Brazillian Jiu Jitsu academy. Under the Canada wide annually top rated 'Jiu Jitsu For Life' network affiliation. Hands down you are in good hands. Direct lineage to Grand Master Helio Gracie, our academy doesn't fool around with dodgey fly by night coaches with supposed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu skills. We are 100% Brazilian Jiu Jitsu certified.
Our Mission
At Oracle Jiu Jitsu, our mission is very simple: to deliver the authentic time-honoured art of Jiu Jitsu in a readily absorbable and understandable form.
V3DA hub
Part of the Oracle experience comes from our partnership with V3DA hub. An industry-first, "athletic performance acceleration" tool, that delivers a unique experience unlike anything else to be found in the marketplace. Read V3DA hub story
Our Story
Lee Chiang is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Professor Jorge Britto. Lee is the founder and owner of Oracle Jiu-Jitsu. Having practiced BJJ since 2009, and competed various tournaments with achievements including, silver medalist Masters 2 Canadian National Championship - qualifier representing Team Canada at the 2023 JJIF Worlds in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (winning 3rd place overall). 2nd place ranking 2017-2018 North America UAEJJF Heavy Masters 2 Brown Belt, 3rd place 2018 IBJJF Toronto Open Brown Belt Heavy Masters 3 and competed at IBJJF Worlds Las Vegas Heavy Masters 4 to name a few.
Professor Lee is dedicated to the art of Jiu Jitsu. Day in, day out, he can be seen either on the mats, training off and on the mats, coaching mat side at a tournament, competing at a tournament/hosting a tournament or studying techniques on his spare time, continously refining and building a world class curriculum.
He isn't like some of those part time coaches that you see, who have other 'day jobs' who just punch in, show up to do their allocated obligated hours then promptly leave the dojo. No. He's commited. He eats, breathes, sleeps jiu jitsu. Can the other guys say that? (BTW the same goes for Professor Micheal). I challenge you to ask, other academies, whether their head coaches are true full time coaches committed to their academy? Is the actual owner present, teaching and sparring? or does he have part time hours, with equity share in the 'business' that he's working on. Yup. Enuf said.
Since 1995 has over twenty years of experience in Fortune five hundred companies, leading multi-million dollar enterprise projects.
Lee's list of life careet achievements include:
- VP of Technology Solutions at LenderKey Mortgage technologies
- Honourable discharge Private of the ‘87 Royal Regiment of Canada, Medic Aid domestic Reserves (v)
- Bachelor of Architecture (technology)
- Architectural Designer at Architectural Firm
- Solution Designer - offered Solution Architect IBM Global Services
- PMP Project Management Certified
- CSM Scrum Master Certified
But what he is most proud of . . .
is his passion and love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. (Something you will experience if you talk 'shop' with Lee).
Upon retiring from his 'day job', Lee taught BJJ at the Metropolitan University X (University of Ryerson), previously having successfully lived as an IT professional, last holding the role of VP of Solutions building complex enterprise systems.
His passion comes from the fact that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gave him the ability to allow himself to work extremely hard yet allow his destiny to be within reach and control of his own hands. An art that drives you to become a better person both mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Lee learned from his own Professor that "if you want to get better it's simple... put more time into improving yourself. That means not just doing more Jiu-Jitsu, but eating better, exercising, and practicing mindfulness."
You can't help but get better. Stronger. Fitter. Healthier. Happier.
"You win when you step on the mat"
Meet the Team

We are a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about all things Jiu Jitsu.

Lee Chiang
Black Belt, Oracle Professor & Founder
A 2nd-degree Black Belt under Jorge Britto of Jiu JItsu For Life. Lee is every bit passionate about Jiu Jitsu, on and off the mats. Whether he's studying the gentle art, reading about the mind/body connection, blogging about cutting edge nutrition, meditation, running various local tournaments like Oracle Open or 1LeftAlive, competing for the Canadian National JJIF Team or teaching at Oracle, you'll see Lee eating, breathing, living Jiu Jitsu every single day. Can other schools claim this?

Micheal Danchuk
Black Belt, Oracle Professor
A 2nd-degree Black Belt under Jorge Britto of Jiu Jitsu For Life, and a 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu instructor. Micheal only teaches jiu jitsu (can other schools make this bold claim?). He brings a passion for the art that can be seen in his dedication to all things Jiu Jitsu. Whether it's in Gi, No Gi, taking ice bath therapy, breath work and mindfulness or competing at hight levels in local fight promotions, you'll be sure to see a big smile on his face every time.

Farhan Ahmad
Black Belt, Oracle Professor
Over thirty years in martial arts, starting with a heavy bag and The Tao of Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee was my childhood hero and a heavy influence. Twelve years under Ajahn Suchart Yodkerepauprai No.1 House of Muay Thai. Followed by five years of independent training with some old Siam No1 colleagues. Received Black Belt at TorontoBJJ. Trained Muay Thai for three years at TBJJ under Mauricio Amado of Evolucao Thai.

Rich Lam
Brown Belt, Coach
Our resident 'nice guy who works you brutally hard', brings a wealth of BJJ knowledge, mixed with an intense work ethic, attention to detail in the finer points of Jiu Jitsu, athleticism and physical training.
Rich is also an instructor at our partner MMAHiitBox (MHB) group fitness program.

Ali Zuhaib
Whilte Belt, Assitant
Ali is a fierce competitor who has excelled fast in NoGi. While he isn't a regular Gi jiujitsuka, which prevents him from belt advancement faster, he is clearly of higher caliber than his belt shows. Don't trust me? Just try rolling with him. Also a super nice guy. It's a common theme here at Oracle Jiu Jitsu.
